Why this is being asked
Avenue Road recorded the highest weekday particulate readings in the ward last winter. Six other neighbourhoods have asked for the same trial. A six-month run would give enough data to decide whether to keep, extend or stop it.
What will be done with the result
The Environment Wing will put the result to the standing air-quality committee with a recommendation either to run the trial or not. The committee’s decision and its reasoning will be published.
