About a fifth of lane lighting in the ward is out at any time. Main roads are lit but many are on older, inefficient lamps that cost more to run. The budget this year does not cover both.
The result was passed to the lighting committee with the maintenance backlog. Lane repairs were taken first in the current quarter’s programme.
Lane repairs taken first in the quarter programme.
Residential lanes were taken first. Repairs to 214 lane lights were completed in the quarter, and the main-road lamp replacement moved to the following year.
