Why this is being asked

Market traders increasingly take digital payments, and a pilot at two markets showed heavy use within a month. The question is whether to extend the pilot and whether it should be free.

What will be done with the result

The result will inform the next budget submission. It does not commit the division to a rollout, which depends on the budget being approved.
